New chav daily

HBB

  V8 likes a drink.
Bawler set! Even a set of new Bosch is a dream when I get a ‘new’ car.

Never understood why people get so defensive of putting new wipers on (I’m in the motor trade) when I recommend them at service.

From my experience it can seem to be the same dealer rip off tactic as 'worn' tyres and brake pads. This is based on one experience when I'd fitted new wipers two days before a service to be told they needed changing (Merc dealer that I'd previously told to f'off on the others before).

Obligatory car park pic 😂 the exterior is actually fifthly although in the pic it looks half decent.

s**t myself as the car appeared to be using coolant, level dropping in the main header tank. After lots of detective work it become obvious that when the coolant was renewed during its service the system wasn’t bled correctly.... wasn’t happy, had I not check fluids weekly like I do all my cars when used it could have cost me a engine. All good now after spending twenty minutes with the front end jacked up squeezing the top and lower rad pipes.

Don’t know why I pay people to do the job sometimes.

f***s me off though mate as I only pay someone to do it so it doesn’t damage resale. I service my wife’s car myself now as we will run it into the ground. Don’t have to worry about s**t parts, w**k mechanics, half arsed jobs anymore.

Hiw hard is it to renew coolant and bleed the system. t***s.
Aye when a 'specialist' who is paid to do a simple job can't do it it makes me want to pull my penis off and suffocate them with it

It's like when people f**k up changing oil. It's one of the the simplest jobs to ever do ffs 😂

So I wanted the car to be checked over as I couldn’t believe that a established mechanic could make such a error given these cars are his trade.

So what did we discover upon Inspection? Rear dif drain and fill plugs haven’t been disturbed, oil filter brand (i supplied a genuine filter which he didn’t use) I have never heard of plus it’s noticeably smaller. Bolts haven’t been disturbed to access plugs so they haven’t been checked.

So now I have had the car booked in again to change the diff oil, change of the gearbox oil as f**k knows what has been put in it (PPG straight cut also), change the plugs, and check the belts that have just been done. The guys whipped a genuine filter on straight away which was good.

f**king joke.

So pleased I regularly monitor fluid levels as this could have cost me a engine. Also how can a guy who has been working on these cars make such school boy error mistakes???

Anyhow Triton Motorsport are carrying out the work which I’m pleased about as they seem a genuine outfit with lots of scoobys on site which is reassuring.

I’m not going to post up the name of the company until this has been resolved address i received the final bill and report.

s**t happens and I’m glad I checked levels when I did. It’s not going to cost me the earth to rectify but it’s money I should be paying. Once I have the above sorted I will be approaching the culprit garage for a refund or (quiet simply) else.

Well that’s a bit crap isn’t it. Are they retarded to think someone who provides an OE filter won’t notice?

Is it not the place that you had it trailered to for the timing belt etc? Did they do any of it do you think? Hard to believe they changed the timing belt when they didn’t even swap an oil filter.

Tell me about it and no it was not C1-R, I wish I just dropped it off there as planned however I wanted to see the underside before I spent loads on it.

Cars back from its 2nd service 😁

Correct gearbox oil (redline heavy shock) which cost £80 on its own just for oil, rear diff oil change (came out black) genuine fuel filter and new plugs.

Gearbox feels so much better so defo had the incorrect oil used when serviced last month.

Fitted a genuine new header tank cap whilst I was at it and coolant level has been bang on now since I burped the system.

Back to happy motoring!

It’s annoying as f**k with scooby specialists bodging s**t. I know two and both are the sort where you try and take one of the wheels off and you know already it’s going to be bodged to f**k because they were torqued to the moon.

Had to burp the system on my mate’s car, it’s relatively easy to get a bubble in there IIRC

Is one of those engine tuner?

What's the method to check there isn't air in the system? The gauge is useless, but the obd readings are spot on, no high and low readings at any point - like I'd be used to seeing on an old shitter.

Front end raised up, header tank cap off, heater fans on full and run engine upto temp until fan comes on whilst squeezing top and bottom rad hose.

You want a coke bottle chopped in half sitting in header tank with coolant so when any air comes out it’s replaced with coolant.

The same process for a saxo!
