new clio 197 front suspension (£1000?)

hello I'm looking to help a mate out, we both no nothing much about clios ect ect..... to cut a long story short he took it for n MOT and was told the front suspension was fooked, got quoted £1000 or round abouts,
is he being had on? if anyone could shine some light on this it would be fantastic and I'm sorry for the lack of info I can get more soon ish

H&R Springs - £150. Fitting the fronts is a proper PITA (backs take seconds) but labour should only be a couple of hours if you're paying someone.

Possibly because Renault will only sell the whole hub assembly and not the lower ball joints seperate.

If this is the case OP, speak to R Sports in Wembley and they'll sell you the ball joints for £56 a piece (I think) and they can be pressed in.

All depends on the damage though.

If you can't do the work yourself don't think that going to a regular garage will be cheaper than a specialist. It won't. Always take your car to a specialist.
