Saab 93 Aero Wagon
The rears on the Cup were perilously close to the '3 points per tyre' mark....1.8mm to be exact.
Paired with 2 two nearly new fronts, the handling was decidely front end biased recently.
Had the new rears put on on thursday eve and was looking forward to a back roads drive down to Brighton yesterday evening with 4 equally grippy corners....
I got to Brighton rather worried!
At anything over 80mph the car was wandering to the point where i thought a rear wheel was loose, and through some of the twisty bits i love i kept having to catch a snappy rear end.
What the feck?
Tyre pressures immediately came to mind.
Sure enough, OSR was 36psi (cold!!!) NSR was 33, OSF was 29 and NSF was 30.
Now back to 33 on the fronts and 30 on the rears, the car feels absolutely nailed as it should.
Just goes to show how sensitive these things are to differing pressures!
