Oil additive that helps with oil leaks?

My mechanic yesterday was telling me about some stuff I think it was called "stop oil" or something like that. Anyone have any idea about this and if it is advisable to use it?

have no idea if its any good, tbh I would normally steer clear of things like this.

all depends on where the leak is, they work by softening any rubber seals as with age the will go hard. so all depends where the leak is
