Went to see this today and was very dissapointed.
The seller was very very honest,he said he hated the car and itd been sat not run for the last year and a half because it wasnt worth taking out for a spin.

Every panel had atleast one big scratch, the CD player had been nicked, the seats had holes in and lots of interior trim was missing.

Took it for a drive anyway just to see how it felt and as expected it was terrible, understeered all over the place and steering must be knackered as it was really unpredictable,it stopped running 3 times in a 15 minute test drive and ended up fully breaking down a mile from the garage who came and picked it up on there transporter.

Luckily the one chance i got to floor it i was impressed with the pull!

Anyway,my search continues.

FFS its just a car needing some TLC, i bet with a service, decent tyres and the geometery (sp) setting up it would be a different car.

To be honest 3k for an 03 plate cup on 68k is about right if it performed to match. Im sure you could knock him down after that less than impressive test drive if you wanted a cup on the cheap.

These cars are only Clios afterall, expecting showroom finish perfection on a 6yr old car isnt going to happen to be honest unless you pay a premium.

New cup interior is like £50
Tracking realigned is about £30?
And see what the garage say about it cutting out (bare in mind its been stood around for so long so might just be new battery)

No way i was negotiating,it had serious problems,i wouldnt have taken it for £1500 to be honest.

It needed atleast 4 new panels or atleast the ones on it properly repaired. The garage said it had a new head fitted before it was pretty much shelved that he did himself(something he had never done before)and that he thought hed screwed up a few things on it,he also said there was alot of water getting in the boot.

He said if it doesnt sell soon itll be going to the scrappers.
