Painting my inlet and fuel rail guard...advice



  No more clio's for me!
Thinking of painting my inlet manifold and fuel rail guard black, what ya rekcon?

Crap photoshop, done in paint...lol.:eek:

Obviously in won't be that dark, but quite like, especially with my hillpower i/k in place.

Being a bit of a painting dumbass, how do i got about preparing it/doing it?

Can't beat the polished look BUT why not leave the RS text in Ali and paint the rest, then get a carbon cover...would look very different, stealthy even?!?

ah, thats an idea, cheers. would look better fully painted and polished up text.

Edit: What paint is best, want a matt black look. Like Andys from GDI (hope you don't mind me nicking the pic?)

  GDI Demo 182, Rsi Spider
plasticote from halfords works well.

you also need self etch prima... and it needs to be cleaned very well..

best to remove them from the car to do...
