Picking clio up tomorrow!

Im picking my new clio up tomorrow

Its a 2002 172 with 57k on and in mint condiition needs mot tax and 2 tyres so got the price down abit.I just cant wait to get it now although im not sure if it will be insured untill im 21.Anyone know of any if there would be a way to get a couple of months insurance without be charged when i cancell and without deposit?

Pics will be up tomorrow and mods will start straight away.

normal one still yet to drive it but ill have a quick drive before i buy it

Bell will do temporary cover on a weekly basis. The longer the cover extends, the cheaper it gets! Ring them and discuss it.

Not having a dig here but what's with people buying cars that they can't get insurance on? Somebody's brother bought an ST the other day and could only drive it for a week until the 'drive away' insurance ran out, because he was not able to insure the ST until his birthday!

Yeh it is a good deal but ive not paid anything yet so if it is an awfull drive obviously i can back out but im 99% sure i will be getting it tomorrow.

I'm assuming you are not mad...>£3500!!! How much is the car?

Why not buy something that you can insure?

I'm assuming you had more than one car, so choosing not to insure it was not detramental to you being able to drive.

I am assuming Chris doesn't have this option. If he does, fair enough.

It also gives me time to do a few things to the car i dont see the problem if its the car i want i may as well get it now.

Fair enough. I was basing my assumption on your previous thread - the one where you were not sure you could afford the 172 if anything went wrong with it.

It has one but it runs out soon what dies an not mean anyway?anyone can get the certificate off a mate

Has it had the recall done on the bonnet catch, 'cos if not, that should be your first port of call.

Yeh its got FSH ill check the bonnet catch but thats not a big issue
