Pipercross Induction turd.

Bought myself an induction kit yesterday for my 172

Fitted my new induction kit last night

Took my induction kit off this morning cos it was sh*t.

It totaly screwed my car up, it just seemed unresponsive and down on power. It will probably cost me twice as much again to get it set up properly. Bugger that.

*For Sale* a Brand new Pipercross induction kit, Its ace and really shiny:p

Really?

Are you talking about the PiperCross Viper Carbon Fibre kit?

Seems very strange, I fitted one to my 172 about 2 weeks ago, its more responsive, throatier noise and seems slightly quicker at accerelating coz the engine can breath better.

No its not the carbon viper kit. It deffinatly sounds throatier but ther is a deffinate reduction in power. Maybe its a heat thing but i reakon it more likely an air/fuel problem. Im sure a re-map would solve.

induction kits are poo for performance. they are much better in the winter, and sound great, but on days like this you are better off with the standard airbox!

a remap wont solve it geeza

Did you give it a decent cold cair feed maybe 2 would have helped, did you oil it up and im sure you have to wear these things in.

cant compare as i have a 1.2, did have a pipercorss open airfilter and i liked it alot, i had 2 cold air feeds and it seemed to run very well and sounded mint.

now ive got a viper on my 1.2 and when the engines not warmed up, it sounds like a tractor running on diesel, no sh*t, man its sounds bad! even when i drive slow, but once the engines warmed up its sounds soooo nice;)
