Play in Wheel, What's the Problem?

Yep another thread by me

I am having a rough time, feels like my 182 is falling to pieces just now :dapprove: anyway...

Thoughts on this please. Mechanic has told me the play in the drivers side wheel is due to the tracking rod and it needs sorting asap as the wheel could fly off!

I had a look myself and there is a noticeable wobble when you shake the wheel side to side. He told me it will cost around £70-£75 to put right.

Views please? Will it definitely be the tracking rod like he says?

Not really a track rod end is £15 tracking £15 so £45 for 30 mins labour isn't cheap 50-60 sounds more reasonable

Is that inner or outer? £75 :/ if that for the outer if personally do it myself and take it to a garage for tracking after. The job itself is not to bad..

Thought tracking was more like £30 or so on it's own, could be wrong though.

Not sure tbh just mentioned track rod to me.

Genuine inner is £45 and its a 30min job to change PLUS alignment, that's a bit too cheap imo therefore it'll be non gen parts
