Poll: Neon lights under cars

  Octavia VRS
Saw a mk1 clio last night with these, so I ask thee, what do you think about them?

I'm a NO personally

Neons on the right car look the mutts nuts, theres no gettin away from it. but the car its self needs 2 look the b****cks as well!! they cant just be put a corsa with no mods, black bumpers ect, that just looks silly!

Ummm......No.

I think they are of the same ilk as led washer jets and "Knightrider" lights behind the grill. Tacky bolt-on of the highest order.

Agreed, waste of space, pointless and make you look like a w*nker..

I would say no on most cars but occasionaly I've seen them on really nice cars and they actually look OK - but I think they look stupid on the shitty little chav cars. What do people think of interior neons - in the footwell and things. Again I have seen photos of these on in somew cars and they can look OK but I think if it was visible from outside it would look s**t. TBH I would never get neons on my own car but on certain cars they can look OK.

i'm undecided myself, they can look really good, then again not at all, i saw a caviler last night with a blue underglow but it looked w**k as it was a faded red car, i'm thinking it could have looked better if they had a red under glow. myself i've got neons wired to the boot light in my car, i think it looks pretty good, but i get a lot of mixed reactions...

Hate them, what gets me is the amount of people who fit them, leaving the tube on display !!

I saw a crappy corsa the other day with a blue one like it (in mc d's car park - where else) All I could think of was the song from barrybos - I need a Turbo !!!!

erm i think even a stick on bonnet scoop would look better than them, they are unbelievably ridiculous looking things

I had them on my last clio and it looked good, granted to tubes were bolted to the insides of the bodykit so all you could see was a green glow but I reckon'd it looked good

If they're done right, they look good. Problem is most of them are fitted badly and can see the tubes, or the tubes are hanging off the car. Had my car fitted with them for a year now

Normal neons no, normal leds no... them IceLED ones look really nice, the price reflects that, as not just any person will have them.

Tubes showing is a big no no aswell.

Neons, chrome wheels, 'samurai' bodykits,.. any non OEM bodykits, illuminated washer jets and rear silencers, come to think of it anything your dealer doesn't specify on the option list is wrong.

WRONG.

WRONG, unless you watch 2 fast 2 furious and read Max Power, have 12 fingers, webbed feet and call your sister Mum.

Just my opinion, but I'm never wrong.

On some cars can look fine but has to generally be a heavily modified car and not the standard crappy blue they all seem to put on no matter what colour the car is.

Needs to match the car and gnerally not be put on cars like clios corsa novas and thelike on bigger performance cars when they have some big in your face kit on then they look alright though.

interior neons though i dont mind they can be kinda cool. Or UV light wont notice it till your laces on your shoes start glowing.

ok then - to all those who say they look shite - what about the fancy headlight bulbs that shine through with a little hint of blue - mainly fitted to brand new beemers & mercs etc. do you think they look pants too?! I do agree they look cack on chav cars when they are hanging off & the actual car is poo but on the right wagon i.e. blinged up honda accord with lambo doors, hydro's & bodykitted they look PHAT!!!
