Fitted this today, not had a chance to drive it yet, but suspect ill need my smt-6 remapping to show any proper gains if any. It looks very well done and spec is as follows.

All casting and pitting marks removed & smoothed
Internals re-profiled
Highly polished internals
Modified to allow perfect vertical butterfly opening
Leading edge of butterfly 'knife-edged'
Obstructive casting step before butterfly smoothed into the body
Fitted with low-profile, countersunk screws to maximise airflow
Throughly cleaned & degreased
Throughly lubricated

Sorry about about the poor phone pic's.

I thought these were similar to the Mini Cooper ones, which were around 2 mm larger in Diameter.

I cant see how they would make any major difference?

are a few ppl selling them on ebay, one not far from me too. Think fred was having a play doing one to see if it made any difference, dunno if he did.

Seen them on ebay...It's not a bad idea, we used to run different types of carbs and flanges on the karts...Ironically the rougher flanges worked better...(Swirlin the air)?

Got it from theese people www.headtune.co.uk, Paid £90 for it and although you dont have to send your old one back he's offer'd me £45 for it.

Just took the car for a quick spin and have to say it feels alot more responsive. In the same way after i had my inlets done.
Going for a 40 mile round trip tonight so ill give you all a update.

Unless its enlarged with the inlet matched along with it, i dont want to.
Airflow wont improve without serious modifcations! not a clean and a polish.

What gains are you expecting/been promised?
And what Air filter do you have fitted?

It looked around 2-3mm bigger than the normal one, not quoted any power gains.

I have a Hillpower induction kit, Smt-6 ecu, manifold match, de-cat with haywood and scott straight through exhaust.
It made 194bhp last time a GDI.

194 is alot from them mods surely?! Would have thought you would need cams to get up that high.

What 1/4 mile time did you manage mate?

Nice :)

Wasnt doupting it mate, just thought cams would be needed for that sorta increase.

14.6 nice. Im going tomorrow, have to see how we do. Taken out rears seats, shelf with 6x9's, passengers seat, spare wheel and tool kit.

Probably a 15 or so :( Feels alot quicker than my old FRP Zetec-S that did a 15.4 though.
