hello all..
im quite new to the clio scene and have had my 182 for a few months with no problems (no use either) but took it out today for a spin pootled round for a while and took it on the ring road and opened it up a few times.. when driving hard thru the gears into about 4th up the revs you get a whyne that stays into the next gear even after backing off the throttle but goes when you dip the clutch and release it.
back on the throttle its gone still until you hammer it again.
the noise sounds like a faint tyre rubbing on the wing and not like gearbox problems ive had with my old fords.
the gearbox is still very smooth and quiet no crunching ect. i checked the oil level when i got in and it took about 1/4 litre so wondered if maybe could be this or even the release bearing..
i just wondered if anyone else has had a similar problem..
the car has done 57k and i think the mounts are a little tired too so will be replacing these asap..
thanks for any advice..
