Putting clutch/gearbox back together

  Ph1 T
Removed my gearbox earlier and decided to check the clutch while I'm doing my build. Now put it all back in spleen goes straight inside clutch..

But there's no movement in the fork once connected surely there should be?

Help appreciated

Yeah pretty much 100% sure it's the way I took it out.

So there should be play in the fork? I'm sure there was before I removed it

Fork located in the release bearing correctly?

Come to think of it no there shoudn't be any play iirc. you can move the fork to the left but it should be solid when moved to the right

Right just put it back on again..

There's play if you move it to the left and solid when move it to the right.. Does that sound correct?

No didn't have one only reason I went in is cos I dropped an Alan key socket bit down there and it went in gearbox :/

If you can get some leverage on it, like a pair of molegrips, you'll find you can actually feel it taking the pressure of the springs and that it DOES move the way you think it doesnt. (ie pulling it away from the engine)
