Question MOT-ers

On my 182 on the longer driveshaft (O/S) the middle boot is leaking oil, I think the boot is damaged rather than loose.

So is that an MoT fail? I couldn't remember if only the outer ones are an MoT fail.

Depends on how serve teh leak is, I've had advisorys in the past simply stating its leaking, was still passed though!

Also, sorry to jump in.

My mate has a black megane and someone recently bumped into the side of his Meg, the wing is cracked, but you can still see his indicator and it works, would this pass or not?

if it works, its a pass. will go down as an advisory that the lens in broken. (thats what happened with mine)

Also if theres a sharp edge its a fail, but all you need is an angle grinder

My Dailys have always been pretty much advisory free!

you will need to replace the boot anyway, best thing to do is to clean it before mot so it doesnt look like its leaking

also with the indicator as long as the lens isnt cracked and the indicator works it will be fine

inner cv boots dont come into mot. They will be soon though
