recommended tyres on ph1 172 pro race 1.2 16"

ok so i will probably be picking a set of pro race 1.2s up on saturday for the 172 (ph1)

they need new tyres but im not very clued up on whats good and whats not, i dont want to be spending loads of money on tyres but i dont want cheap rubber either.

iv done a bit of a search and found people rate Toyo T1-R's, but also see people mentioning prada specs 2's and people saying you can pick r888 up cheap??

i have now got a bit confused lol :S

i want them to stick well in the corners and not to fail in the wet

the wheels are 16" so am i looking for 195/50/r16 ?

Just a heads up Ad, good 16" tyres aren't cheap, at all, where as good 15" tyres are, but its up to you, I think team dynamics will look awesome.

Lots of tyre buffs on here, but you'll get mixed opinions.

yea i know what your saying about 15s been allot cheaper but these 16s have come up and i gotta get them lol

Be fine, mine came with 195's and I now have these on, as do loads of other 172 owners.

Never had Toyo's but they are as good if not better than the eagle F1's and Conti sports I had. Also seem to wear well. Can't go wrong for the price. I'll be getting 2 this month myself.
