  PH2 172
Im thinking bout Remapping and putting a ITG panel filter on the 197 F1 but wanted to know how much BHP it will then be after that and how much quicker and more responsive it will be? and whats the best company to go to for it and how much will it cost cheers.

Not too sure on results but i am pretty sure the best place to go to get it will be RS Tuning in Leeds.
I think they charge £300 not too sure on that though.

I was wondering if this RS tuner self tuned can work with Cams or ITB.

I stay on the other side of the world and i cant drive my car to leeds :(

Can someone lend me his plane or ship please?

Hehe

for extra money Henk (fastchip) can customise your map to suit anymods ur running.

yea, i understand..but alot of issues when i want to upgrade parts in the future :(
Unless Henk has a map with different mods..
Ex
Stage 1 with Exhaust, Airbox ECU.
Stage 2 With Cams, ITB
Stage 3 with SC/TC charger kit

Etc.
Anyone knows if Henk is on this forum

To an extent!

I agree the rstuner is not a bad bit of kit and has a big following but you have to understand its limitations compared to a set up on a rolling road!

I've had a live map and ITG filter....

Doesn't exactly 'transform' the car but it feels a bit keener, and acceleration is smoother.

I got 202bhp on the rolling road, but I think those results were a tad optimistic!

Please elaborate. I am using both methods (RR and RSTuner) as well, so I am curious to see what your personal experiences are ?
Please don't tell me you never used RSTuner and a RR for engine re-calibration as in that case you are really not in the position to make a valid assessment regarding the matter.

Oi mouth....

How do you use a RR when the guys car is over in this country??

I have had alot of mapping done on my car as it is running aftermarket cams.

Not a personal attack. I'm just curious to know what these limitations are that you speak off.

Thats OK then, IIRC I think I complimented your product in my original post :)

Surely there has to be a compromise with you not having the customers car to put on the RR?!

Also, mine has had over 90 runs on the dyno as it was having AFR issues due to the cams and new airbox. That would require me (assuming I was using RS Tuner) to send files back and forward to you for updates etc which would take a while... That has to be a limitation?

For everyday users its a great set up but those with more involved modifications Im sure it would be too much of a pain to keep sending the files off??

Valid point, but I use a 'master' version of RST software which makes it easier to fill in the map points. +10 iterations is usually only needed when you have to start from scratch.

I think end of the day, a rolling road custom tune is the best option :(
I had the DMS reflash, which i was told its Fuzzy Logic (learns each time you changes)
but im pretty doubtful as i believe that the power wont be optimized till its customized, due to weather/road condition over here in Singapore.
