What? You can fit rod bolts with pump in place.

literally no reason to touch the oil pump at all
As I said dan got it wrong , but we did find a lump of sealant floating around in sump ? That was worrying
That's right it was beige , the oil light on and the oil level was correct, so had the engine flushed new oil and filter light went out may have been that .Standard from the factory. Ive pulled apart a couple of untouched factory F4R's both had a shocking amount of beige silicon in the pickup (the standard sealant used by renault on the main cap). tut tut renault.
