Renault Scenic 172- done before ?

Should i fit a 172 into my wifes Scenic ?

Has it been done before ?

Its been done lots of times

We purchased 80 brand new 172 engines from France about 3 years ago. Every car that has come into our garage with a blown F4R engine has been fitted with a F4R 732 engine from a clio 172. We used the bare engine only and fitted the standard inlet and exhaust manifolds back from the standard 2.0 16v units. The F4R blocks are interchangable on all Renaults. Needless to say the customers were amazed with there new engines and couldnt believe how well they ran - OK there not as quick as a 172 and i dont think the would make 172 bhp on a R/R but they werent so far off

I can tell you love your customers! For how much did you get new engine?
And did you remap ECUs? What was usually the reason for blown engine? Thnx for info!
