RIP 172 FF - 30mph impact - images included

crash my car last week, very frustrating was such a low impact crash, unfortunatly bent the subframe and chasis and was quoted 4600 for the fix, so the insurance company wrote the car off and gave me 6k for it which wasnt terrible, was worth probably about 500 more!

am replacing it with a 172 cup, drove one today and felt great, slightly more sluggish than my FF172 but did handle a hell of a lot better

insurance company owns the car now - so i guess they are breaking it, i can find out where they are breaking it but im guess it will be near me in surrey - bit of a trek from leeds!

thats the embarrasing part, was really tired, and was driving a route i usuallly drive, trying to charge my mobile phone as the charge is really s**t, looked back up then BANG! the car infront had half pulled over and went striaght into the back corner of his car

very annoying to say the least, but lesson learnt - am going to get a decent hands free kit with cradle for my nokia n95 - any reccomendations?

^ I wouldnt mention that to your insurance company what with being illegal an all to mess with a mobile phone while driving. Infact I wouldnt have posted it on a forum either as technically you could be done for driving without due care and attention.

it did feel slightly sluggish - not saying that is across the board with call cups, was just wondering if that is problem that some cups get at the 45k mark or if it is cuased by it being driven quite tamley

i did love the handling and was expecting it to be a bit quicker than my FF172. i've put a deposit on the car but is playing on my mind a bit as to whether i should still get it

any thoughts?

Guessing by his name its an 03 plate

yep you guessed correctly - it had 30k miles - in quite good conidition, needed 2 new tyres and a comple of little bumps and scrapes and all the alloys needed refurbing

insurance paid out 6k so am now on the hunt for a cup with similar miles!
