Road Angel 2

im seriously thinking of getting one of these, i pick the 182 up next thursday all being well i would like some sort of advanced warnings when driving about etc.

would this do all i need or would i be better off getting something else or this plus another usit of some sort, any help would be welcome as i have no idea about these things, also are they easy to fit etc ? <SCRIPT language=javascript>

i havent got the RA2 but i have got a RA1 and id recommend it to anyone, never let me down, very accurate, no messin about, well worth the money !

Blaupunkt, I have ordered a RA2 and should get it tomorrow, because of the UV screen i have ordered the external square antanne which is about 1 1/2 square to fit in the back corner window next to the parcel shelf.

RA have the best database of all, the laser detector will pick up laser through the normal glass and i think it is great how it changes from blue lcd to red for warnings with voice and beeping.

But when my girlfriend and I go away in here car for weekends, we can just stick it in her car too!!!

iv read afew reports on it but nothing tells me how its connected up exactly.. is it wired up or does it plug into something or batteries ? (daft questiin i know ) <SCRIPT language=javascript>

I have the new one.. amazing bit of kit!

In the 182, you might need the external antenna aswell (£20) because of the windscreen..

Its an all in one unit so it just works for me.. which is what I wanted - can move it from car to car very quickly.

Has can get them at a good price - he got me mine, highly recommended.

the road angel isnt the BEST database, this has been looked in to and origin have the most up to date database, and it also has over 500 more cameras listed than the road angle does !

yeah but i think road angel is the best system for false alarms? thats what id heard anyway.

my mate has one and he thinks its fantastic. its also slowed him down quite a bit, which is saying something!

Erm, I dont see how the Road Angel is missing 500 cameras.. thats a fair old chunk of cameras in the UK..

Maybe it has 500 more mobile sites - every layby is probably listed or something, heh.

Lowest Ive ever seen is £400 and a free digital breathalizer.. and Ive been to every site.

There was one on eBay for £350, but it had been used I think.. and wasnt from a dealer?
