Nice day, sea very calm - how boring.

Good ol' Polish Express. (Shock - they've relayed the exit road out to the M/Way)

Slow journey to the Ring, kept getting stuck behind these things:

How apt!

Checked into the Blau Ecke, said hi Michaela who'd sorted us out a room in the annexe!

Few sheds circulating on some sort of trackday.

Waited for the TF session and killed some time by doing the usual stuff!

Rich and I met an English guy called Scott with a nice new M3 in the hotel bar, went for a Chinese, got drunk in the Blau Ecke and ended up pouring our own beers! Thanks Michaela :thumb: That's why I love the Ring so much. Top stuff.

Headed south:

Wow, stunning pics, I'm jealous, looks an amazing trip, Jon! How long did you do the trip over? and what are the names of the places inbetween the Ring and Cannes?

Spent about 10 days out there I think in total Karen. Our route was Ring, then through Luxembourg and down to a place called Les Abrets (nice campsite) and onto Annecy, Aix les Bains, Grenoble, Bourg D'Oisans, Route Napolean, Cannes, Monaco, Turin and home. We had planned to go further but Europe seemed very expensive this year. I usually gloss over the cost when going to the Ring, but the nicer campsites were 50 Euros a night in high season....

The boat in the last picture was bizarre. Was moored outside Monaco harbour and we think was too big to go in. Christ knows who owns it, but it was pretty impressive.

OK Seb, just for you:

Great pics and a great trip!

Crackin' pics there Jon! Looks like you had a good time, I hope to do something similar when the car gets back on the road!

Had a good laugh - cheers Jon!

I will upload some pics too, once I've fathomed out technology....

That boat outside Monaco is wicked - might be something from these boat builders http://www.wally.com/default.asp?bflash=1

-Alps as spectacular as ever
-The 'Ring still daunting but good fun (even in an underpowered car)
-Cracking roads
-Lovely Dutch girls in the camp sites:)
-47 MPG over 2550 miles thanks to a Larry-guna 1.5 dCi!

Recommend to anyone:D

Missed this one Jon looked great!

Most would take a nice little car tho for some blasts down the roads, i'm guessing it wasn't about that on this occasion?

The previous years trip is on here as well somewhere.

We went in the Laguna as it did 55mpg and was Rich's company car. I've done these roads in nice cars before, so whilst we both would've liked something quicker, the 'Shuttle' as it was known, was perfect!
