sat nav in ph1?

Hi. Just wondering if sat nav was ever an option in the ph1 172? If so, i'm after the housing for it!

Yeah, not sure where i'd go first, could do with one from a ph2 just to size it up to see if it can be bent/adapted to fit then covering it in alcantara hiding all the handywork

Get a Alpine media station with slide-out screen, and then dvd-navi to go with it. Touch screen is so nice

I was looking at that but i'm sad and like all my controls working on the stalk for the cd changer and volume etc. I had a £500 sony job but sold it so I could use the crappy standard tape thing, just so the cd changer and the stalk controls worked! Anyone think of a better idea? How much did you pay for the alpine if you don't mind me asking?

Stick a pda in there and you have sat nav!

is that your one? I saw that in for sale i think, that's what got me onto this idea! If it fits i'd be having it off you, but I can't afford to be forking out only for it to be miles off fitting! I have tomtom on my pda now and it's crap basically, sick of having to remember the receiver with me all the time, i always forget it!

Yes, it's mine, I was gonna put my pda in their or if I could afford it get a necvox screen.

I reckon a pda in their would be cool, as it is an easy install.

I will have to make do with this sat nav system for now though.^^^^

now that's a good idea! Is it an ipaq or something? Mine might be too fat to fit in and look good. Do you use a bt or wired gpd receiver?

All my stalk controls are working fine with my Alpine and that is with a changer in the boot.

The adaptor cost me aprox 50£........

that might be an option then, depends how much an alpine headunit, cd changer, sat nav and adaptor costs. I'd probably have to have the i-pod adaptor too, now this is getting expensive!

But what a awesome system Well happy with mine, sound qual is very very nice. Musik vidios on the screen with dvd-sound qual is soo much better than just sound.

The sat nav is spot on and have all the goodies. TMC and a huge POI database. Split screen ect. ect.

I'd love it but it must of set you back at least 2k! and the rest. Can't afford that after just getting the car. I'll have a look on fleabay. What model did you get?

Have the IVA-D300 media station with NVE-N099P dvd-sat nav and the CHA-S634 mp3/cd changer.

New model is IVA-D310 with a small display at the front but otherwise allmost identical.

doesn't appear to be any of those on at the minute just a load of scams who want e-mailing first. I'll keep a look out for one of these. cheers

mine cost me less than £200 including a spare visor to butcher.

Its an ipaq rz1710 pda with wires reciever.
