If the second driver was speeding and got flash by a camera, would the main driver be affected?

depends who gets the ticket. if it was the named driver it shouldn't affect you

you get your NIP through the post which asks you "were you the one driving". you need to tick no and fill ou the drivers details who was. they then recieve the points for it and you declare it to the insurance. Your policy will go up as the named driver is classed as more of a risk.

im guessing your on your dads insurance or something and was caught? No you dont phone, you fill out the form they send you through the post. you get 3 points and a £60 fine depending on how fast you were going. Insurance prices rises will vary. Mine went up £250 on my own policy.

My ex was a named driver on my policy and had an accident, and i still have to tell the insurance companies beacause it was my policy and i lost my no claims!! SWT

there isnt a next fine. you just get banned. you wont get banned. i was caught doing 48 in a 30 and didn't get banned.

Nah its not 14 days mate. Think its something like 6 months or something daft.

At that level it could be a court summons rather than a fixed penalty mate....Depends if local traffic cops are operating any kind of clamp down....

Was it a single flash, or two flashes a second apart....

If you were heading towards it and it flashed then nothing will happen. They aren't legally aloud to use the ones that flash facing you as its an infringement of your human rights iirc
