service light on clio

can the service light be on and pass the mot. its only telling you your in need of a service I cant understand that this would make it fail. also im in need of someone to put some resistor work in for me ( airbag light problem ) but all the wires don't have connectors. can any one point me in the direction of man who can to sort this problem out before the mot in a month. I live in Lincoln so wil be willing to travel a couple of hours. willing to compensate with ££££ just contact me pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase.

No it won't fail.. If its a clio 2, it isn't telling you it needs a service.

To tell you there's a problem with it, in this instance it'll be because airbag light is on.

Serv light is in conjunction with another warning light either airbag or abs normally. But sometimes comes on on its own if the engine oil is really low.

So it tells you there is a fault/problem. Not that it needs a service.

Apparently It doesnt fail an MOT but im pretty sure if your airbags are disconnected then it means your car will fail on airbags? Im not a mechanic so I dont know, im having a similar issue dont know if it will be worth just hoying some resistors in, probably is to be safe there is a guide on here how to do it somewhere

Airbag light will fail and also purposely disconnected airbags will fail unless the whole system is removed

if you join there is a guide on how to fit the resistors yourself very easy to do.

the serv light will come on along with the ABS,Air bag or headlamp washer level low warning lamps to indicate a fault.
