Lol, I was just reading this on MKIV's and then saw it here too. Thought I was having some sort of weird deja vu.

They're a pretty good offset. Not like 99 out of 100 of these wheels i see. Im still wanting 20mm spacers all round though im thinking..

haha, adjusters will be coming out of mine on the rear. My front tyres scrub like a cleaner on crack.

I need a uprated arb first..the 215/35's are going to make it lower anyway. At the moment on the 225's i can only just get a credit card between the tyre and shock at the front...As soon as i get a arb and spacers on the front the adjusters come out on the rear..moo hahaha

Not the best picture but these were my front wheels and i was running a 195/45/15 on a 8.5". Ran it as a daily and had no issue. Was running 9.5 on the rear with 195/50/15.

My wheels are 8.5j I've read so wanna learn about offsets..then I need to find the perfect splits..keep em 18's and switch the tyres.

Given that it looks pants, i'd say no tom. Looks good just now.

A bit late judging by the post above yours Ali ;)

Offset is pretty simple to grasp, the lower the number (or -ve), the further it will protude from the arch (on a rim of the same diameter). The ET value is in millimetres, so the difference is how much further in our out in mm the wheel will sit. Throwing different widths and diameters in makes it harder, I just use online calculators in that case.

That sounds right in my head anyway.

That's pretty much it. It's all about how far from the centre line of the wheel the contact surface is (bit that actually touches the hub).

Suprising how much difference 2mms actually makes IMO. Maybe not too much for looks but more for clearance etc
