Slowest car on Cliosport (56k.. i dare you)

  2001 A(wful)uthentique
Hey guys,

Well, this is my first car, a 1.2 8V authentique. I know it's the basic of all basic models, and damn slow but hey it'll do for building my NCB for a few years.

The car itself probably doesn't belong on this site, seeing as it is in no way sporty, but i'll go ahed and show anyway :rasp:

First thing was to dump the old cassette player for a nice (cheapish) headunit...

Next to come were some nice clear side repeaters to replace the gash orange ones...

Some sprayed silver dash inserts to replace the ugly grey ones (authentique sadly has yuk 2 tone interior)

Some ones from today after a quick clean... Also notice the 'nice' wheel trims the garage put on for me.

Reflection on my mums Dynamique in this one...

Have some foglights in my garage waiting to go on although i'm having a problem fitting (see: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=247565 )

Thats all for now, future plans include Dynamique spoiler and alloys, RS grille, megane splitter, silvervisions and maybe lowering.

C+C welcome, cheers!

nice one - tidy looking motor!

a feck of a lot better than my first TWO cars

- a pale blue 2cv with 200K on the clock :-O

- Cavalier with shot suspension and a slipping clutch (but it did have heated electric mirrors!) woohoo

P.S; don't muck about with it - save ALL your cash in an ISA (£150 a month is nearly 6K with interest in 3 years) and you'll be in a mint 182 with 3 yrs N/C before you know it!

p.s. if you MUST, as said, sensible spec. upgrades like dynamique alloys and fogs are best way to spend but still add little to value of car over 5 years!

That's kind of the plan, bit hard saving cash at the moment seeing as i'm just out of college and only working part time until i find a full time job.

Cheers for comments people.

^ ^ I's say better than 90% of folks - you ONLY notice the flash gits, you never notice the majority of young people on the bus/walking/cycling to college/work without enough for a sandwich in their pocket!

Nice 1st car bud, every1 has to start somewhere!! I had the 1.2 16v clio billabong as my first car, four years and a car in between i have a 172. Some nice alloys, subtle spoiler and colour coding will look nice.

nice car mate, mine was an expression which is similar spec to yours, just a bit better. also had the shity 2 tone interior. i went overboard on mine and fitted full dynamique interior, dashboard, dials, gearknob, carpet, door handles on the inside.

then on the outside, dynamique spoiler, dynamique fogs, colourcoded 172 door handles, clear repeaters, dynamique 15" alloys, dynamique colour coded wing mirrors

cost a lot, took a lot of work but looked great.! was a 1.2 16v tho!

re:Nothing wrong with Oil burners, beats the crap out of petrol cars

Driving a diesel is like being gay - it’s more accepted than it used to be… but it’s still f**king wrong.

Nice wee car by the way, just steal your mums alloys!
