Toying with the idea of getting some small spacers for the rear wheels and leaving the front alone. Will this f**k my handling/tracking up or will it not make a great deal of difference?

Advice please fellow CS'ers :)

shouldnt make much difference, it when camber adjustment etc gets involved that it will affect!

make sure u get longer nuts and look at at least 20mm space!

wont help handeling, will look rather good though.
i would get the same size all round then look at abit if negative camber on the front if you like the tucked look.......

It will improve handling if done properly, why do you think sport models of all cars have a wider track and then race cars have an even wider track?

The garage i go to keep telling me to put some 5mm spacers on to help the look of the wheels in the arch and said it would defo help handling etc.

It's a subjective thing handling!

TBH You'll never notice the difference on a road car, you might feel a difference if you go for big changes, or they might be in your head. Does it matter? Just go with what you want.

FYI I on my MX5 I had ET15 wheels on the back and ET40 wheels on the front (same widths) handling felt fine. Was better than before if anything, but then it's not just the offsets that changed, I had wider wheels/tyres etc so it wasn't a fair test. Looked cool though!

So if you were going to put spacers on the front, would the size depend on wheel size or not?
Like would 10mm be a nice start?

put it this way, my car has 35 mm on them and they need at least the same again to sit how i want them! so 70mm in total!
