Spacers with Cooksports and cup suspension.

I've been looking at spacers but can't decide what size to go for. Hard to decide how much I want the wheels spaced without seeing them in action lol

Yeah I was thinking 15mm all round but then I thought that maybe the fronts might need to come up slightly more than the rears.

I'm thinking maybe 10mm on the front and 15mm on the rear.

I really don't understand what the different camber ones are all about though? (I'm mechanically inept)

Ronald, take a tape measure, get an idea of where you want the wheel in relation to the arch, have a measure, order. I had 25mm on the front of my ph1 and it made it look awesome!

lol nah I drive like Miss Daisy is sat in the back most of the time.

Mine is pretty low on these Cooksports. Quite a bit lower than some others I've seen on the same springs.

I know if I buy a set of spacers that I don't like ill get good money back for them. But I really would like to get it right first time :)

Ah ok, don't drive it hard, don't bother with camber. Simple as.

It'll only chew up tyres quicker and add no real benefit (unless you want to be scene y0)

Rob, rons on 16 s which have a different offset.
Id say 15 on the rear will rub as 10s without -1 on harpmans sunflower did.
His now got 10mm -1 and its fine.

Id be taking a straight edge across the tyre face and a tape, then you can see what you can get away with ron.

Dont forget your car seems to sit very low on them springs.

We can sort it sunday mate if you want??

We only help Ron in the hope he'll get us out of a jam one day.

That's mine with 25mm spacers up front and cooksports

All though, not a cup.

20mm was too much on the rear, so rears will need to be 15mm.

Cheers mate :)

I was just about to say, must be the cup shocks.

But maybe they are goosed. Mine are brand new shocks all round. Done the same time as cooksports.

I'd recommend getting the 15mm hub spacers for the rear. As the wheel spacer type will need either studs, or you cutting down the wheel bolt length.

Fronts, go 25mm, if its too much send them back in exchange for 20mm. Or buy both, send one set back.

You probably want something like 20-25mm on the front and 10mm on the rear.

The fronts always need more spacing than the rears on 172s

Ive got 33mm on my Ph1 at the moment, which is a little too much but needed for my brakes.

Shows how much is actually possible to fit under there though, although that is running a fair bit of camber too.
