spacers

if a car has 8mm spacers on the front to clear a big brake conversion, what possible problems does this have? heard a lot of bad thuings about wheel spacers!

longer wheel bolts, changes in some geometry (not major), possible decreased bearing life...etc etc.

Are the calipers touching the spokes?

calipers will have been touching, thats why the car needs spacers im guessing, its running standard wheels and bolts i think, t=not a very stroing set up then?

you will need longer bolts mate on anythin bigger than a 5mm spacer

its a general rule that you should have at least 6 full turns of the bolt

You also tend to get a lot of flex from the wheel area mid corner. Horrible feeling as I found out 1st hand when I had my old wheels on with 10mm spacers.
