Speeding Fine - Late Payment

right, when i got done for speeding in March, i hadnt got any money until i got paid so i had to wait ages before i could pay it, an by the time i got paid i had forgot about it, i remembered the other day and sorted it all out an posted it straight away, but it was late by a week i think

I included a note with it apologising for it being late, but do you think its likely my fine will now be increased because of this

pretty annoyed with myself as i honestly just forgot all about it, had a lot to sort out lately with car crash and holiday comin up

They let me off, I said I was on holiday... You could phone up like I did for the second one and ask why you havent had a letter back and when they say they have only had it a few days say "oh thats strange I posted it last week", etc, etc...

Youll be fine... I was twice.

I spent a few hours in jail over something like that. I turns out that I paid a fine one day late in New Hmpshire and they billed me for a reinstatement fee of something like $20 at the time. I ignored since I "knew" I had paid the fine on time and about 5 years later got locked up! Damned computers...
