stereo problems/side controls on after market stereo

at the moment i have a vibe 1600w sub wired up to the standard stereo, i did hat by using a 'Autoleads PC1-601 Line Output Connector'. but now the stereo keeps jumping the music,but it doesnt always happen. its not the disc as i checked for scratches. I decided to keep the standard stereo because i wanted to keep using the steering wheel volume button etc.. but can i get a wire to go on a after market stereo that will connect the steering wheel buttons to the new stereo without costing to much as i am a student and do not work at the moment.

most likely factory stereo fubar'd, stalk control/patch lead generally £15-20, n u can pick up a half decent stereo for under £100, depending on what inputs/ functions your looking for, would sound much better thru preouts rather than the output connector

so does the stalk control/patch lead wire up to a after market stereo for the side controls to work?

Yes it does. You need a compatible stereo thought.

Alternatively, you can use your left hand.
