Over the past 3/4 days there is been a droning noise coming from the front end of the car and then last night there was a loud crack/bang from the front like a tile snapping.

So tonight it went into the garage and i stripped the front brakes to find this on the drivers side.

The front brake pad had snapped in two and was ratteling about the front caliper.
I have now stripped it all and im waiting on G172 replying to my PM regarding brembo discs and pads.

On the down side i snapped a caliper slider bolt so going to have to buy a new set of them.

Oh i forgot to mention, dont throw your old pads out yet, need them so you can push the caliper back against the new one so you dont damage the new one! also best way to clean the calipers up - i'll give you the dremel and a wire brush attachment then you just need some caliper paint and jobs a good un!

Been in the car since i got it but i do have an Invoice from K-tec for front brake pads so im guessing they are these.
I have spoke to fred (My Hero) and he said just go for the Brembo HC discs and the Brembo OEM pads and that will be good enough.

  Dodgy one
My Mintex have started to look like they're developing a crack down the middle of one pad!

I had that set up, they were really good until i took them on track and the pads died.
