Stressful wiring issues!!!!

First of all is I have an aftermarket steering wheel that I've put on, but turning the wheel barely a cm makes the traction control and service light come on! I have the yellow spot lined up in the window so no idea what it is now, steering angle sensor what ever that is?

Next, I have a sony head unit that I have just replaced for the same model and since then the interior light and clock will not go on unless the key is in on the first turn of the ignition and I have to then the CD player on myself instead of it coming on

close to ripping the head unit out and taking over the dashboard lights!!

Have you caught the wiring on the head unit cage? I friend of mine did a similar thing and when I looked at it he'd trapped the wiring.

As for the steering wheel did you spin the angle sensor at all when the wheel was off as you could of damaged it if it's been over wound

Not sure about steering wheel. But sounds like you've popped a fuse when changing over stereo.

Sounds like you've got the permanent live and ignition live wires the wrong way round on the stereo.
