swapping cup for willy

I have found a pretty mint williams 3 for sale and Im seriously tempted to swap it for my cup. I was just wondering if anybody else has moved from a cup to a willy also peoples opinions welcomed.
I dont use a car for work so it will be mainly a weekend toy drove a valver years ago but always wanted a williams.

if its been looked after is will be fine, just remember its a 15 year old car, so it WILL need some things doing to it.

Though the cups a kinda new age willy so id prob keep the cup

They're more raw than the later models AIUI, but they're getting to be money pits now.

Get a Williams 1 or 2 only. A 3 is just a valver and you do not want a sunroof.

I have both, the Williams is a better car, and if you spend more than 5 minutes looking for a decent one you will end up with one that costs the same to run maintain as a cup if not cheaper, infact I reckon I have spent more on the upkeep of the Cup than I have on the Williams, excluding mods etc.

Williams 3 is the best colour, if I were to buy again it would be a Williams 1 though, they seem to deal with rust a hell of a lot better thsn the 2's or 3's

Not keen on the williams 3 TBH, manily due to the sunroof... Williams or Williams2 All day. If you can live with that Dash your all good to go. F4r into Williams shell =

as above really. rust is an issue, but it seems it is also on the newer reno's

and as for the 3.......personally i wouldnt buy one, would have to be a non-sunroof model for me, they just bend at the roof otherwise.

f4r into williams.......why??? spec for spec the f7r would be quicker .........and itd work out a damn sight cheaper.

go for it tho....take a test drive and feel the difference. u wont be disappointed

Cheers for all the replies, some good info think I may hold off of this one now unless a v mint willy 1 comes along. But if i see one a forecourt I will have to give it a blast to compare
