The sensor is itself quite accurate its the wiring which can let it down with it coming loose etc. The below resistances are what the sensor electrically resists at different temperatures.
Between 0 and 5 degree between 5400 and 6200 Ohms
Between 6 and 10 degree between 4400 and 5400 Ohms
Between 11 and 15 degree between 3700 and 4400 Ohms
Between 16 and 20 degree between 3000 and 3700 Ohms
Between 21 and 25 degree between 2500 and 3000 Ohms
Between 26 and 30 degree between 2100 and 2500 Ohms
Between 31 and 35 degree between 1700 and 2100 Ohms
Between 36 and 40 degree between 1450 and 1700 Ohms
The tolerance isn't specified but if its wrong it will be hugly wrong.

The aircon is connected I think to this temperature sensor so if you want the gauge to show something else then you'll ned the sensor plugged in still.
