The cheapest Petrol Stations in each county!

  1.2 16V
Hi there,
I'm not sure if there is already a page like this, but I thought it would be a good idea to list the cheapest petrol stations around the country!

If you can find a reason to go to Leicester, the ASDA garage near junction 21 of the M1 is currently selling petrol for 128.9p per litre.

If you can, shop at Tesco as they are currently doing 5p of per litre if you spend over £50 in store.

Avoid Daventry on the A5 like the plague, there is a cartel going on there, cheapest is 137.9!

Comment with your knowledge of cheap petrol stations :)

i had a colleague who was so dumb that he used to drive miles away just to go to a petrol station that had petrol for 1 or 2p a litre cheaper, i'm talking a 30 mile round trip. I dont think he quite understood that the journey there and back wiped out the saving quite a lot!!

Petrol Prices is a good website... round here (Southend) it was always between Asda or Waitrose, however Asda's have been winning for months now. Only downer is obviously they don't do premium petrol!

I've never really bothered about petrol prices tbh...even if it's 10p per litre difference thats still only £5 a tank so to drive 20 minutes to save £5...not really worth it imo.

Our local Shell is 2 minutes from Asda which has the cheapest fuel so they keep their prices as low or 1p more expensive. In comparison to the other Shell the other side of town it's usually 4-5p cheaper!

I've found that if I just go to the petrol station nearest to where I am when I need petrol, then fill up and pay without even looking at the price that my life is so much simpler than those trying to save a pound or two.

most of my routes go past either oe or both local shell stations, both at 139.9 for v-power, 131.9 for 95

Pretty much the same, I'm not wasting my time shopping around, I just buy it and forget about it. It's not like I'm buying a huge amount anyway

Correct, and round here there is only 1-2p per litre difference. That's only 50p-£1 difference per tank, but there are some people in the world who are just obsessed with saving every penny how ever long/whatever it takes to do so - "nothing in the boot, extra weight wastes 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 litres of fuel per billion miles I drive" FFS!!!!

I go to whatever shell garage I happen to be driving past, usually one of two... one is 4p odd cheaper than the other, but given the distance apart I wouldn't make a special trip to go to one over the other..

if you want to save money on petrol, look at the way you drive, youll save more there than at the actual pump.

I managed 350 to a tank the last time i filled up, which is awesome for me!
