The electronic screen

Hi my boyfriend just brought a 1.8 16v 1992 clio and we cant figure out what the elcetronic screen is above the temperture and pertol gages. Is it a rev counter? Or a tempertutre thing? Please reply its driving us crazy!

temp only on the clio, i think it did something else aswell on the R19 trip computer etc. I think maybe it can be used for diagnostics by renault techies but for all intents and purposes its just a temperature display.
