Throttle body modifications?

I read on here some where that you can modify the standard throttle body and put a stiffer spring inside? Is it A possible and B is it actually worth it ?

Well, why would you want or need to do this?

I saw it on here and just wondered if it was actually true or is it a "tuner" mod. Plus im buying the rs2 set up later on in the year
