In my epic quest to get my 182 through an MOT I need to replace the precat lamda. Ive tried letting the cat heat up and a bit of WD40. Pretty awkward trying to get accsess on axel stands any other tips?
I find an H02 socket and a breaker bar works best... spanners are shite, can slip and don't give you adequate mechanical advantage. They can be purchased from most places; Snap-On, Mac, Halfords
Heat it up. Release oil, big bar! Mine done thurs! Pain in the backside of a job, but why heat the cat up if you want to remove the pre cat lambda? Heat the boss up where the lamba is. Oh, and you really need to have the car up on a ramp.
