Some of you might have looked in the for sale section to find my painting thread but for the rest of you that hav'nt yet come accross it here are a few pictures of todays work.



Jonno1 's side strips and mouldings were primed and sanded for a nice smooth finish ready for paint tomorrow. pictures yet to come...

A customers black Vauxhall Corsa C,

i really like the wheels but not too sure about corsa's :S

OMG OMG! I've not long bought those alloys too for my track wheels.
Was thinkking of doing it in blue to match my car (or white)

Funny you say that have had a few people asking already for me to do it for them.



Mask up the wheel leaving the team dynamics logo uncoverd ovs ,
primer section,
unmask,
use grade 1200-1500 wet and dry paper to sand over the painted section,
as you go over the flat lip the primer will stay in the inprinted lettering.
Mask up again and do the same process for the paint and laquer.

Once the process is done you are left with a flat dul black colour where you have been sanding.
To resolve this problem i used G3 compound paste to get the colour back and then used liquid wax final finish to bring back the shine.

Nice, i have the same wheels, would like to do the team dynamic writing in silver after seeing that, wouldnt a clue how to do it though

Done them for a friend at work, dont see much of him, dropped the wheels off for him after work as a favour.
If i see him soon i ll get more picture but at the moment thats the only pictures i have sorry
