Toyo T1-R's

Are these being phased out/replaced by anything?

I know they are getting hard to find due to stock levels following the Tsunami, but they have actually started vanishing from some sites now, rather than just showing as out of stock!

I just bought 4 from cam skill at £55 each...they said they had loads!

Maybe I was a bit harsh there as I had parada's before them and was hoping the grip from them would be as good if not better going by some of the reviews i read.

I've got the new T1-R replacements the PX4 and they are brilliant can't praise them enough tbh. I would say a good improvement over the T1-R's but then again they are £90 ish each.
pretty good in the wet also, they feel quite a soft compound so like to see how long they last.

To be fair I don't get anywhere near the limits of handling so I'm the wrong person to judge (I just like to accelerate quickly), but for me they do a good job. They never put me in any dangerous situations like budget tyres have for me in the past.

The positives for the T1-Rs are (were) there price. Clearly more expensive tyres are better, but thats why they are more expensive.

In terms of 195/50/15 they were uber cheap.

No news on them being replaced, the PX4's are listed alongside them on the Toyo website. It looks like its just a case of no stock.

Looks like it was just stock issues, as T1Rs are back in stock at the usual ~£35 price (195/50/15).

Anyone else find they go blue on the edges when they get hot? :)
