going to buy some 205/40/17 for my new 17s.

jut looking on mytyres.co.uk, and they are asking for speed index.

i have selected H upto 130mph, is this correct? i have a 1.4 16v clio

and am looking at gettin toyo proxes for £61 a tyre.

also anyone used this website before?

The Toyos will be fine - I think theyre rated up to 149mph. I ordered 4 myself last night. Used mytyres before with no problems.

thats alright then so 205/40 is right for 17x7 alloys?

The Toyos are rated V (upto 149mph) anyway.......

Yep, this is the usual size on that size rim. You can get 195/40s I believe, but they are v. expensive.
