Urgent - Imobiliser

HELP my f**king sunroof has leaked again today and the water must have got to my central locking and imobiliser sensor. So now the bloody thing doesnt work so my car is not working.

Is there any way to disable the imobiliser as my car is stuck at work in the car park and i need it. It did it once before but i dried out the semsor and it started working again, but that doesnt seem to have worked this time.

only way of bypassing it is by entering renault immobiliser code but you can only get this from your dealer.

Will it switch off if you turn the lock in the roof of the glovebox off? (assuming you have the key and the lock!)

no thats nothing to do with the plip type immobiliser.

I thought the key was basically to do the central locking and would do the immobiliser if you had it turned on??

I dont have a lock in the glove box. my car is a 1996 1.4 RT, do the dealers know the code thing that you input with the accelerator pedal and the button on the end of the wiper stalk??

Yes dealer have immobiliser codes, they get them from renault net.
