Vee at cadwell

Well, what a day thats all i can say!

Was a bit anxious before the day, obviously driving 400miles i was prayin for dry weather! And we got it!!! :)

Had the car set up at IF motorsport a few wks before so it was spot on for the track, tyres were crap, but more than good enough for some track abuse.

Got a few installations laps in the morning, which were interesting to say the least, damp in places and wet under the tree's!

Anyway later in the afternoon after one of the other guys had wrapped his car we got the first flyin run! - All i could do was smile. Vee is a different animal on track, not so much twitchy but difficult to transfer the weight between corners. Brakes were dyin after about 7-8laps too! But with 2 in the car i wasn't too bothered about that! 9.1MPG!! LOL And 110.0p per litre at the track! - true scotsmans!

Anyway on the last run i was going to get a film, but unfortuneately we got the bad boy flag for filmin in the car. Not my camera but my passenger at the time's!!! So here's half a lap after coming out the pits! Booohiss!

Also worth mentioning, Got a shot in the new R26? Clio... Canny mind if it's the R27 or R26...

Either way, loved it! Obviously on a track like cadwell it excel's! Great chassis, very chuckable and grips so well through the complex. I actually reckon you could do a quicker lap in the 197 than the vee...Granted it's about 10mph slower down the straight and stuggles up the hill but it's great fun!

The steering wheel and seats are So much better for track use ass well! :)

looks and sounds good. some hill that is. never noticed it as much on way up as coming down. looks like the track has a lot of camber too in places?

Yep! It's one of the best tracks in the UK. All on the driver! Very narrow and minimal run off! Although i was using it and then some! Stoddie was getting carsick! LOL

To be honest mate. The clark said, i don't want to see camera's stuck to the dash! You were holding it! Not that i even seen you with my helmet on!

Gutted, coz i hadn't even got a video up to that point! :(

Clark was sound when i spoke to him, but the instructor was a tossbag, giving it i should know better bein an instructor! I just shook my head! No need for that!

In the briefin they said and i quote: "I don't want to see any camera's gued to the dash with sellotape or blue tak!"

Mine was mounted, obviously that wasn't the problem, But he was holding his camera and i think it was round his neck too!! I didn't even notice tbh!

:( Was my only video'd run too! And 1st lap out the pits! Only started goin for it coming throught the chicane and down the hill! :(

Was weird, kev's was so quite, mine was louder with the zorst and Steve's was sucking like a whooore! - but he didn't realise he had an IK on it! lol

It really does look like a really nice track, not just to drive but to sit and watch too. It looks nice with the sun on it but very narrow in places, I bet it's hellish in the wet.

lol, i was tip toe'in round in the morning!!! Got sideways twice at 20mph!!! Not cool!
