Waterpump, worth changing?

Hi guys, the Clio is booked in with Birchdown for the cambelt doing in a few weeks time, what I want to know (as I forgot to ask Steve) is it worth getting the waterpump changed at the same time?

Can it be done later, if/when it fails without having to do the belts again?

Any advise would be apreciated :)

Matt

Aux belt needs to come off to fit it so may as well get it changed while they're doing the cambelt anyway and get some fresh coolant in there too if it's not been changed recently. The waterpump itself isn't expensive so makes sense to have it done at the same time IMO.

Mine shat itself a handful of months and about 6,000 miles after I had my cam and aux belt changed so I speak from bitter experience lol waterpump was about £25 ish IIRC even from Renault. For the sake of it I'd always recommend changing it if you're having the belts done anyway.

Mine failed epicly on a meet once, i'd get it done with a belt change as both my clios have had failed water pumps.
