Its my birthday next thursday and my G.Fs asked me what I want but its gotta be under 100 squid..

Any Ideas what engine mods I could get for under 100?

Forget the engine mods, get a set of Eibach springs. Will cost a touch over £100 (about £120). The best mod you can do for the money.

Have you had your lowered? whats the ride quality like?

Yep, first thing I did when it was brand new! Ride quality is fine, handling greatly improved. You get a pretty subtle drop with Eibach springs - in this pic the red car (mine) has the Eibachs, the Silver one (Roamers) does not.

i like the converter that takes your 12V DC cig lighter to a 240V AC 3-pin plug!!

I thinks thats something Iam going to have to do very soon in the near future...

Only problem is my cars still under warrenty.. So I might buy all the mods and wait until my warrenty runs out..

Also did you notify your insurance company when you lowered the cAR?

I had mine done when it was about a month old - no worries with warranty - youre replacing springs that have a 3 year Renault warranty with Eibachs that have a lifetime warranty.

Interestingly my Renault dealer didnt notice that the car had been lowered until I mentioned it, but they are pretty cool about mods in any case - they were asking me about my Magnex exhaust as another customer had seen it and said he wanted them to fit one.

Tesco insurance only wanted to be informed about the springs to ensure that theyd been properly (i.e. professionally) fitted - it made no difference to premiums or excesses etc.
