Best thing to do is crack open that black box, pull out all the cables (using a sharp jerking motion), blow on them then its really simple to put the cables back in, job done.

Should help you diagnose any faults with the battery.

Oh dear me. I thought i asked daft questions. As said, one cable goes down to the starter motor , the other to the fuse box , the negative to the chassis

Jesus, i should smoke crack. Silly now ofc my friend told me that it was something else thats why i was asking... sorry haha!

Edit,

May as well make this thread worthwhile and ask the other thing,

This small battery i have, why is it used? What are the benefits apart from maybe weight or so.

And i plan to install a small sound system in the future nothing powerful but would this be up top the job?

As above - it's a lightweight race battery and completely not right for a sound system/road car

I guess someone in the past has fitted it - and quite badly looking at the bodged bracket holding it in

Get a normal battery for it :)

No the normal sized battery hooks under those bits on the bottom mount you can see just under the earth cable - then on the right side there's meant to be a clamp holding it in place

Nip to a local scrap yard and take one from any clio
