wheel spacers .. advice needed and wanted

  clio 1.2
im wanting to put spacers on my clio due to the wheels sitting to far in my arches :( after lowering
i dont really want to change my wheels for something with a different offset unless its really needed and proven to be the better idea ?!

i dont want to go by halves and only go 5 - 10 mm as i dont think this will make the difference i want

if anyone can guide me on what size i should go for if youve already done it advice is much accepted :D

also could anyone give me any advice if any on how wheel spacers perform as ive heard a few horror stories and dont want to make myself a nice big
bill by going and buying some

cheers :)

Most people on here im sure go 10mm rear and 20-25mm front. But dont hold me to that. Also if you get the hubcentric 'bolt to hub' type spacers you get the spacers which come with bolts so you can bolt the spacer to the hub, then use your standard wheel bolts to bolt your wheel to the spacer and hub.

Also depends on what wheels you are using aswell. Plus it all depends on if you are going to be using your 1.2 clio for any other purpose than drive around. If you were to track it then extended wheel bolts are apparently a bit of a risk.

For the size you want.. just go out and measure how far your wheel is tucked in and measure to the lip then you can know what size to go for.

Hope this helps!

Oh and welcome!

ive heard more positive then negative here
and the bearing wear as stated wont be major but understandable with it been modified id expect it to add extra strain
