Who makes in car hard disk players

Want a new headunit but dont want cds/mds etc so thought about getting one with a build in hard drive.

anyone know of any?

Kenwood do a 20gb "keg" not build into the hu but more like a changer add on.

Alpine have one as well IIRC.

Ive got an Mstation for all my music, works a treat. I swapped the standard 10gb HD for a 60gb. It connects to the standard HU through the Aux input. Stopped making them ages ago, but you see them on ebay pretty regular.

afaik its the only internal hard-drive unit available, though i think sony were going to release one at the same time, never eard any more about it to be honest

How about getting an iPod? You can get one for £205 from Dabs.com, and a lead from ihavetohave.it and connect it too your standard Renault H/U, or I think new Alpine H/Us work with iPods.

whoops, sorry, never seen the link for the dension unit, i never realised they done them, as were not authorised dealers i rarely get a chance to view their products (if ever)

im not sure if they are any good, but I like the fact that you can add any 2.5" drive, means can upgrade easily!

I think the Denison looks really bad.
This will not be going into a clio, most probably a vauxhall but it will need to have a brushed aluminuim finish.

Guess Im not going to be able to do this but the trouble is I wont have room for a changer and no room to store CDs/MDs

I have the Dension DMP3-A which is a separate hard disk unit that runs through the CD changer interface.

I find it great, allows me to fit all my tunes on with ease (80GB disk at the moment) and can use them in the car, on the pc, or through the stereo.
