Worth it?

Hi All,

Someone i know has a 2003 clio in black, mines a 2001 clio also in black.

He has on it.. Clio Sport rear bumper(bit cut out for exhaust), RS Grille, exhaust and some coloured interior panels in red.

He has just got a saxo vtr so he is wanting to sell his clio but wants to sell it standard. he said if i swap my standard rear bumper, standard grill, standard exhaust and interior panels he will swap for all his for £80?

Do you all think its worth it?

id say your doing him more of a favor as he wants to sell standard and you have the parts, try straight swapping

Agreed, I'd say you're in a good position, why not make him a lower offer, the worst he can do is say no!

I think its pretty fair. Think you would struggle to get those parts for £80 second hand and he gets your standard stuff without the hassle.

i said whats the lowest he would do it for and he said £80. bit of a tough situation for me. My friend said the exact same on that the parts may be worth a bit but the stardard clio parts are probably more appealing to young/old people so the car value would be worth more when standard so he said it would of been better to keep the standard parts if i was to ever sell the car.

Im definately going to be getting the RS Grille of him as i want it as it makes a massive difference to the car IMO.

Unsure on if the rear sports bumper would look out of proportion to the car if its bigger than the standard one and not having a sports front bumper on? what do you guys think?

just got him to budge to £60.. hmm the thought of this happening is actually getting a bit bigger I think £50 and id have it all off him straight away possibly

Also you will be in the position of when you come to sell that you wont have the standard parts so will need to sell/ swap for the standard ones.

That is the think that is putting me off the most. I want the RS Grille for definite as IMO I think the car looks way better with it than the standard one. Also I wouldn't mind the sports rear bumper but unsure if it would look out of proportion to the rest of the car?

I like the sports rear bumper and shall be getting one myself look in the media section theres plenty of 1.2's with the rear bumper from a sport and they all look really good.

Trouble is if he has a cut out for an exhaust your kinda limited to fitting the exhaust or a similar one.

Perhaps best to see how much insurance would be as its easy enough to sell on/ swap bits on here when it comes to selling the car on.
